Uniforms

Uniform Slideshow

We believe uniforms are a necessary part of the distinctive learning environment parents will find at Odyssey Charter School. Uniforms improve the classroom learning environment; build citizenship and a sense of community in our children; and create a safe learning environment.

Uniforms must be worn during school hours, except under special circumstances as announced by the school. Uniforms must also be worn for all before and after school programs, including field trips and special school activities, and all tutoring and enrichment sessions, except on occasions when costumes may be required for dress rehearsals or performances.

Pants/shorts/skirts must be worn at the waist, shirts must be buttoned and tucked in, shoes must be tied or fastened, clothing must be worn right-side- out, etc. Clothing shall not be excessively worn or have holes.

The Uniform Exchange is held the first week of August.  Please check our Odyssey calendar for exact dates.
TO SELL: Come to the school on the morning of the uniform drop off day between 8:00 am and 11:00 am, on the first Monday,  and drop off your gently-used Odyssey uniforms to sell. Items that are excessively worn or stained will not be accepted. NO items will be accepted after Monday. Tuesday-Thursday are purchasing days only.  In order to sell your items you MUST follow the stated guidelines:

Write the following on an envelope that is safety-pinned on each piece (Odyssey does not provide envelopes or safety pins):

• Size and description (in case the envelope gets separated from the clothes)
• Designate boys or girls
• Price you are asking (we recommend pricing to start at most 1/2 the original cost, then adjust price according to the condition of the piece)
• YOUR NAME and PHONE NUMBER
Only items that are Odyssey Approved Uniforms will be accepted at the uniform exchange. Please visit the other tabs on this page for more information regarding uniforms.

Odyssey is not held responsible for lost or stolen items. This is run by volunteers and is a service provided for parents.
TO BUY: Come with plenty of cash-in small denominations (we recommend $1’s and $5’s). Odyssey cannot give change. If you find a piece you want, put the right amount of money in the envelope, leave the envelope with the volunteer at the school and leave with your new-to-you clothes. Save time AND money!
PICK UP DAY: The Monday after the week of the Uniform Exchange from 8-11 am. Come to the gym to pick up your envelope(s) with your money, along with any unsold clothing at the end of the exchange. Any items or money left at the school will remain Odyssey property.
