Classroom Supply Lists

Please bring supplies on back to school night, so they will be available to use the first day of school.

Parents,
Below are the suggested classroom supply lists for each teacher.  According to Utah Administrative Code R277-407, “Schools shall provide school supplies for K-6 students.”  However donations and contributions may be solicited and accepted.  These lists are a solicitation of donations for classrooms supplies that will be used by your students.  Any supplies provided will be considered donations and are solely voluntary on the part of the parent.  Student placement or assessment will not be affected if a parent/student is unable to provide the requested materials and the materials will be provided by the school.
Listed below are the classroom supply lists for the 2017-2018 school year.

Boys: 1 package sanitizing wipes and 1 set of Crayola water color paints (8 colors)

Girls:   4 or more black dry erase markers (fine point/thin) and 1 package of pink erasers

 

Everyone:

1 box of tissues

18 glue sticks

4 boxes of Crayola crayons (24 count per box) – please no washable crayons

25 manila file folders (3 tabs on top)

1 inch binder (any color) with plastic covering on front and back of binder-labeled with child’s name

25 sheet protectors inside the binder

1 regular size plastic pencil box labeled with child’s name – please no metal pencil boxes

1 box #2 pencils

 

Optional:

White cardstock

Construction paper

Small prizes for prize box (example: bouncy balls, sticky hands, yo-yo’s, etc.)

Please do not label supplies with your child’s name except the binder and pencil box.  All donated items go into a bin and will be dispersed as needed.

Please drop off supplies at your kindergartner’s classroom between 9-10 am on Tuesday, August 22nd.

1 box facial tissue

1 bottle hand sanitizer (with a pump for distribution)

1 pack sanitizing wipes

1 pencil case (fabric with zipper and name printed on; approximately 5″ x 8″ size, large enough to hold crayons, scissors, 2 pencils, 2 erasers, 1 glue stick)

2 heavy duty poly two-pocket folders (durable plastic, solid blue)

1 package of #2 Ticonderoga pencils (Ticonderoga brand lasts longer)

4 Pink Pearl erasers

2 boxes Crayola crayons (Crayola brand lasts longer)

8 Elmer’s glue sticks (Elmer’s brand lasts longer)

1 pair scissors (right or left handed according to need)

1 package of Crayola washable markers OR 1 container of Crayola water color paints (8 colors)

1 pack of cardstock (white) OR 1 pack of colored copy paper (single color packs)

1 package of dry erase markers (black or multicolored)

 

Optional:

1 roll paper towels

1 package dry erase markers (black, thin tip)

1 box Band-Aids

1 bottle whiteboard cleaning spray

If you are unable to provide any of these items, consider them optional.
Please bring your child’s supplies to Back to School Night on Monday, August 14th.

*  Label 5 x 8 pencil box and homework folders with your child’s name.  All other supplies will be for community use.

*   Please do not send pencil sharpeners or fancy erasers with your student.

Personal supplies labeled with your child’s name:

1 pink eraser

1 pencil sharpener with shaving enclosure – to be replaced if broken

1 package crayons

6 pocket folders – 1 orange (writing/grammar), 1 blue (spalding), 1 red (computers), 1 green (science/history), 1 yellow (rocket math/read naturally), 1 student choice (voyager).

1 1″ clear view white binder

1 pair of ear buds – in a baggie and labeled

1 plastic pencil box

1 three ring binder pencil pouch for math

2 composition notebooks for organizational purposes for your students – one yellow and one blue

By having very specific items on this list we are able to teach the children skills.  Color coding as well as labels help the children learn organizational skills, neatness, and time efficiency.

**Please only label the pencil bag and headphones with your name, all other supplies will be used as a classroom resource for all students to use.**

The requested colors for the folders and notebooks are to help your student stay organized.  Each fourth grade subject has a specific color.
